People think you need a ton of followers and offers to make money from Instagram. That’s false. Think of the bigger picture. The first month I started selling through DM’s I made $10k – and with a tiny following. Yep, I didn’t let that stop me!

There are so many accounts that have a tonne more followers than you, but they can’t monetise it. No matter how big or small your following is, you can make money on social media. I’m going to show you how achievable it is!

Here are my tried and tested ways to make those dollars without feeling salesy:

✨ Know your target audience

Saying ‘Hi’ to everyone in the DM’s is really nice, but isn’t very strategic. Know exactly who your ideal audience is before you start making conversations with anyone and everyone. It will save you a heap of time!

✨ Engage with them

Engaging isn’t just liking a quick post and commenting with a few emoji’s!

Like and comment, share and tag their posts/stories and if something resonated with you, tell them in a DM.

✨ Be bold and build connections

Lead with authenticity. Building a business is about networking and building relationships. This works a dream when you’re a startup with no cash. Collab! Want a beautiful website? Trade you services with an up and coming website designer. Want copywriting services? Team up with a copywriter in your niche.

✨ Be genuine and show your value

People like knowing that they’re not on this entrepreneurial journey alone, so if you have a great piece of advice, freebie or a solid recommendation, share it with them.

✨ Offer to get on a Zoom date

It’s nice to put a face to a name or handle! Zoom dates are my favourite! On any given day, I’ll be on >8 Zoom calls with Fempreneurs who want to grow their biz. It’s not only fun, but it’s also rewarding connecting with so many like-minded women. This is a chance to get to know them more, so find out what their needs are and offer to help them.
